Vibration Isolator Damper Prep System
A manufacturer of heavy-duty vibration isolators required a method for taking rolls of stainless-steel wire mesh and convoluting it to make their vibration isolators. The mesh could be anywhere in width from 1″ to 12″. Creative Automation designed and manufactured a reel-to-reel system to automatically feed and crimp wire mesh. The crimp roll configuration was developed to achieve a specified amount of convolution without breaking wires in the mesh.
Precision Mesh Pack Seam Welder
A manufacturer of hydraulic filters (used primarily in aerospace applications) required a precision system to seam weld stainless steel mesh filters ranging from 2″ to 36″ in length. Creative Automation designed and manufactured an automatic seam welder with a specially designed clamping fixture with replaceable copper jaws to accommodate the wide range of filter sizes.
Orthodontic Packaging System
A company manufacturing orthodontic components required a special system to prepare “assembly cards” to be used with their products. The card required discreet, variable amounts of a special UV curable adhesive to be applied at multiple sites on each card. Following the adhesive dispense, a foil cover sheet needed to be formed and hermetically sealed over the dispensed adhesive. Additionally, a component was to be attached to the card, coded with an identification number and the finished assembly needed to be collated into stacks for packaging.
Complete Automatic Medical Device Assembly and Packaging System
A manufacturer of medical diagnostic test systems required unique equipment for automatically manufacturing their product, simultaneously minimizing the chance of contamination. Creative Automation designed and manufactured an automated assembly and packaging system integrated with nine highly specialized work cells, each one operating as a complete, standalone production system.
Medical Device Automated Assembly System
A manufacturer of plumbing components needed to improve their manual operation of assembling gas valves to achieve the production quality levels for meeting the customers demand. Creative Automation designed and fabricated a system to automatically feed, place and assemble the components for the companies’ gas valves. The system operates at a rate of 15 assemblies/minute.

A manufacturer of ear plugs needed a special purpose machine to automate the fabrication process of a unique product assembly. Requiring numerous materials and an extremely precise wrapping operation, automating this complex assembly process demanded an innovative machine solution.
Frost-Free Valve Stem Assembly System
A manufacturer of frost-free valves (Hose bibs used in low temperature climates) required a system to manufacture a unique stem assembly. Creative Automation designed and fabricated an automated system to assemble pre-cut lengths of copper tubing to seals and stems. The entire system operated without operator attention and produced assemblies at a rate of 30/minute.
Automated Assembly Machine for Paper Chef’s Hats
A national food wholesaler needed to improve the production and quality of their manufacturing of their disposable chefs’ hats. Creative Automation designed and fabricated a dial type special process machine that receives paper blanks, wraps them around a mandrel, applies hot melt adhesive and automatically places tops on the formed hats, producing 40 hats/minute.
Telephone Interconnect Pinch Block Assembler
A manufacturer of outdoor telephone cable equipment required a system to automatically punch, cut out, and place grease barriers onto blocks consisting of a molded body and screw. Creative Automation designed and manufactured a system that automated the above operations, increasing capacity up to 40 assemblies per minute.
Glass Door Support Roller Assembly Machine
We designed and manufactured an automated system that enables an operator to place roller housings onto tooling mounted to a dial-type indexer. Specifically engineered for a leading manufacturer of sliding glass doors, our solution automatically installs rollers, rivets, and an adjustment screw to complete the assembly.
